I purchased this mascara at Grocery Outlet for
$1.99, so of course I was a little skeptical. But I have enjoyed hard
candy mascaras in the past so I went ahead and bought it. The color is
called Night Owl and is a very dark
black. My initial reaction to the brush was shock and surprise. It is
unlike any mascara brush I have ever seen, long and skinny with short
spiraled bristles. The first coat of mascara worked out great and it
drastically lengthened my lashes, which is good because that is what
this product claims to do. On the second coat the lashes began to stick
together.
after 2 coats my lashes stuck together but they are very long.
Over all I am impressed by this products ability to
lengthen the lashes although I would advise to stick to just one coat of
mascara. I think the brush does not need to be as long as it is in
order to achieve the same lengthening effects. I could see my self
reaching for this mascara in the future though when I want to create a
little drama with long lashes. This mascara does exactly what it says
but I think the brush may be over engineered so I would give this
mascara a 7 out of 10.
