Essence Fruity Nail Polish Review
I purchased 3 out of the 5 colors in this collection. There is also a yellow and a peach one. The colors from left to right are One kiwi a day, Very cherry, and Mashed berries. The color names are not listed anywhere on the bottles. My initial reaction was that the glitter is so fine and barely noticeable. But i thought this might make the polish easier to remove. The color i am wearing on my nails is Very cherry which i found to be very sheer. there are two coats of the polish on my nails but i would recommend using three coats. I didn't initially like the color because it was so sheer but it matches my skin tone nicely so the color grew on me. Overall i think this collection is okay but i am in no rush to go out and buy the other two colors. I give this product a 5 out of 10.

Vintage Nail Polish, Cover Girl Wetslicks Lilac Allure
My sister gave me this nail polish. I have tried to research it online but there is limited information. It seems to have been released in 2003. The formula has held up well for being nearly a decade old. It is extremely sheer and this is after applying three coats. I am not the biggest fan of sheer nail polish though. I am glad to have this in my collection and am excited to finally try it out.
Fred Meyer Haul
New makeup from Fred Meyer. There is a lot of essence but I did notice that Fred Meyer had added NYX and Milani to their cosmetic section so I picked up a few things. Previously these brands were not available in Grants Pass, Oregon. I will be filming a haul video next week to share these products on my YouTube channel.
Review: LA Girl 3D effects holographic nail polish.
I
purchased this nail polish at Right Aid for $3.99 if i remember
correctly. You can purchase it on LA Girl's website at this link: http://www.lagirlusa.com/ 3D-Effect-Nail-Polish-2893.html
The colors I bought from left to right are teal dimension, black
illusion, 3D silver, and sparkle ruby. There were only two other colors
on the display at the store, a purple
and an orange. however on their website they also offer a pink and a
blue. The color I am wearing in the swatch is teal dimension.
I
read about Holographic nail polish a few months ago and there are two
types. One has holographic glitter particles dispersed through out the
nail in such a way that it creates a rainbow effect, like an oil slick,
when light reflects off of it. This is called linear holographic nail polish. The second type the glitter is dispersed
randomly and kind of looks like a glowing mermaid tail glistening in the
sun. This polish is called scatter holographic.
As far as the one I am wearing, I believe it is the
second type; However, the 3D silver color might be the first type. I
have not had a chance to try this color yet.
The formula for
these nail polishes is not as easy to work with, The brush picks up a
lot of product at once so if you forget to wipe the brush on the rim of
the bottle it can be a messy application. It does dry quickly and looks
stunning in the sunlight once it is dry.
I do think this
product is worth the price, even the 5 bucks it cost on the website. I
wish there was a more appealing color range but I am happy that they had
a black.
I give this product an 8 out of 10.
Review: Maybelline Lash stiletto mascara
I
purchased this at Big Lots for $3.50. This mascara is suppose to
lengthen the lashes. I did notice some lengthening but I also notice a
slight bit of clumping. For the most part this mascara does its job
pretty well. I am not sure I would pay full price for it though. The
packaging is adorable and it looks like a stiletto heel. The color is
brownish black which gives a softer look to the eyes. I would give this
mascara a 7 out of 10 for performance.
Review: Julie G Gum Drop Collection Textured Nail Polish
I
purchased 4 colors in the new Julie G Nail Polish collection at Rite
Aid for $3.99 each. There are 6 colors in the collection and I plan to
purchase the other two next week. The colors I purchased from left to
right are tangerine dream, rock candy, sugar rush, and crushed candy. I
am wearing crushed candy in the swatch photo.
The formula of
the nail polish is really consistent and glides on smoothly. Once dry
the texture is suppose to imitate a sugar coated candy. I find the
texture exciting and new. I don't have any nail polish like these in my
collection. This would be a great product to try out if you want to try
something new with your nail polish. However, if rough textures irritate
you, this nail polish may not be for you.
These nail polishes
are meant to be applied without a top coat. They are also limited
edition so if you are interested in trying them don't hesitate to buy
one.
Review: Donna Michelle Nail Polish Stickers
These stickers can be purchased at Dollar Tree. I found these stickers very messy and hard to apply. They do not completely cover the nail, and the left over rough edges at the end of the nail do not file down easily. This makes them easily attract cat hairs. I don't imagine they will have long lasting staying power being that some of the nails have already chipped off. So if you feel like wasting a dollar you might want to check these stickers out. I do not recommend them though, and i am now scared to try other nail polish stickers.
